Sesleria

Cool-season, evergreen to semi-evergreen grasses. Often, durable, clump-forming, tolerant of a range of conditions, with some potentially drought tolerant. The overwintering tussocks, especially if not trimmed in the autumn, are important, sheltered hibernation sites for many beneficial predatory insects such as ladybirds.
