Halimiocistus

A bigeneric hybrid (parents from two different genera), of Cistus and Halimium. Plants are shrubby, but often low-growing, with opposite evergreen leaves. Flowers white to yellow, some with dark basal markings on each petal.

Like both of its parents, produces abundant pollen and nectar, and so they are much visited by honeybees, hoverflies, beetles and other pollinators, a useful addition to any dry garden
