Dorema

Dorema according to some sources are included in the genus Ferula. In our experience pinnate foliage and large flattish umbels of yellowish flowers. They are suitable for a sunny position and well drained soil.

As with all umbellifers, the heads of numerous tiny flowers, of which there are many on such a stately plant, provide a huge resource of nectar and pollen for a wide range of insects from tiny pollen-beetles to large hoverflies.
